L. Anne Babb, Ph.D., OK: L. Anne Babb is the mother of 12 children including six adoptive children, among them international, transracial and special needs adoptees. L. Anne is the Oklahoma State rep. for the North American Council on Adoptable Children, former President of the American Adoption Congress, and the author of In Whose Best Interests? Ethics in American Adoption and Adopting and Advocating for the Special Needs Child: A Guide for Parents and Professionals

Christina Crawford, ID: Christina Crawford is the author of Mommie Dearest, No Safe Place: The Legacy of Family Violence and several other books. In the latest reissue of Mommie Dearest, adoptee rights issues are examined. Earlier this year Ms. Crawford sponsored a benefit for Bastard Nation's TIES program in Seattle, WA. The late filmstar Joan Crawford was her adoptive mother.

Rickie Solinger, CO: Rickie Solinger is an historian who specializes in U.S. women's history, particularly the history of the politics of female fertility. She is the author of Wake Up Little Susie: Single Pregnancy and Race Before Roe v. Wade (1992), The Abortionist: A Woman Against the Law (1994) and the editor of Abortion Wars: A Half-Century of Struggle, 1950-2000 (1998). She is currently writing a book that will be called, "Who Is a Mother? And Who Decides?"
