Egyptian Theater, Seattle, WA
Christina Crawford, adoptee and author of Mommie Dearest, No Safe Place, and other books, hosted a fundraising showing of the film Mommie Dearest along with a booksigning of her the latest edition of the book, in which she explores the issue of adoptee rights in more depth. Proceeds from the benefit went to the Terminal Illness Emergency Search Program (TIES). TIES Program Director, Mary Hunt Scoville was on hand to graciously accept the donation from Ms. Crawford.
The evening featured booksigning, an interview with Ms. Crawford by Eric Preminger (bastard son of Otto Preminger and Gypsy Rose Lee), and a Joan Crawford look-alike contest.
The following are some photos of Bastard Nationals at the Egyptian Theater the evening of the benefit.
